Jarell Mikell, Director of Security Architecture and Engineering for Southern Company, is responsible for IT/OT security consulting, architecture and engineering for the organization.  Jarell has more than 20 years of experience in information security, managed security services and consulting, working both in technical and leadership roles.

Jim Haskins is Solutions Specialist in Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities and IoT team. Working with leaders in State and Local Government, as well as Education to develop strategies and solutions to improve transportation, safety, resilience and drive economic, social and environmental sustainability. 

Lalit is a Security executive and strong IT leader with professional track record of successfully establishing Cyber Security Programs and helping his clients be secure, vigilant and resilient in the face of constantly evolving cyber threat landscape. He leads the North America Security practice for Public Sector & Higher Education and diverse portfolio of security initiatives for Accenture. Lalit has extensive knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape and has served in almost every IT capacity, including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).

He has over 18 years of experience in the consulting space delivering and managing enterprise wide cyber programs ranging from Security Architecture, Assessment and Strategy, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Application Security, Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM), Information Security Policies and Standards, Information Asset Management, and data protection/privacy. He is a thought leader in cyber space and authored several white papers published in different media forums. Lalit is also an active speaker and contributes to various Cyber Security forums and conferences (NASCIO, NGA and Others) to help clients understand and develop enterprise cyber risk programs.

Vicki Carleton is a Security Architect with Southern Company, America’s premier energy company and a leading producer of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy serving more than 9 million customers.  In her current role, Vicki architects and develops security solutions and strategies and provides subject matter expertise for security technologies and issues.  One of Vicki’s primary focus areas is enabling business partners working with Smart Cities and R&D to confidently drive digital transformation and capture new growth opportunities through strong cyber security.

Prior to joining Southern Company, Vicki has experience working cyber investigations with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, UAB’s Computer Forensics Lab and Malcovery Security.  Vicki holds a master’s degree in Computer Forensics and Security Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s degree in Systems Science from the University of West Florida.
