Smart City Expo Atlanta is thrilled to announce that Dan Doctoroff, Chairman and CEO of Sidewalk Labs, will be joining us as a keynote speaker this June.
Smart City Expo Atlanta is honored to host Dan Doctoroff for a fireside discussion at the 2020 Expo.
Dan is Chairman and CEO of Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet company, where he is accelerating the integration of digital technology into urban environments. Before launching Sidewalk Labs, Doctoroff was President and CEO of Bloomberg L.P. and served as Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for the City of New York. With Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Doctoroff led New York City’s dramatic economic resurgence, spearheading a strategy to reverse the city’s post-9/11 fiscal crisis and launching the most ambitious transformation of land use in the city’s modern history. Doctoroff’s plan rebuilt the World Trade Center site, inaugurated the largest ever affordable housing program in an American city, and oversaw the creation of some of the most ambitious projects in New York City, including Hudson Yards—the biggest private real estate development in North American history—and the High Line, an abandoned, elevated freight line turned into a 1.5-mile park. Doctoroff also oversaw the creation of one of the world’s leading sustainability plans, PlaNYC, which was designed to address long-term challenges, including a growing population, increasing climate change, a changing economy, and aging infrastructure.
